The Argentine Association of Osteology and Mineral Metabolism (AAOMM) successfully held its first Virtual Conference on Bone Health and Nutrition on November 8–9, 2024. This event, scientifically endorsed by the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF), addressed innovative and frequently discussed topics in the field of bone health and nutrition, garnering significant interest among healthcare professionals.

The IOF extends its gratitude to the AAOMM for their generous contribution of 20 registration scholarships, which were distributed among IOF member societies across Latin America. This initiative enabled a greater number of professionals to participate in this outstanding conference.

The program was coordinated by experts Estefanía M. Zeni Coronel, Antonio McCarthy, and Lucas R. Brun, who crafted an agenda covering topics ranging from the importance of calcium and vitamin D to the impact of yerba mate on bone tissue.

Fernando Luna, UNLP), and The Effect of Yerba Mate on Bone Tissue (Dr. Lucas R. Brun, UNR).

This event not only promoted scientific and professional development on critical topics, but also strengthened networking and collaboration to advance bone health across the region.
