IOF Patient National Societies Day triumphs with inspiring sessions and engaging interactions
The IOF Patient National Societies Day, held on May 6th, 2023 in Barcelona, was a remarkable and successful event gathering CNS members from all over the world to participate in a full day of insightful presentations and dynamic discussions.
The presentations and sessions touched on many key topics, including patient engagement, patient empowerment, the importance of nutrition, rehabilitation and falls prevention, artificial intelligence and health, the Scorecard for Osteoporosis in Europe (SCOPE) Report, as well as experience-sharing with our CNS Members on their advocacy activities.
We would like to warmly thank all the CNS members for their enthusiastic participation in this key event, which attracted over 80 participants from all regions of the world. After three years of virtual gatherings, all participants really enjoyed the opportunity to network and meet in person.
The opportunity to interact in panel discussions provided valuable insights into best practices and experiences from different horizons, including discussion and sharing of CNS Members’ views on patient empowerment during a fruitful brainstorming session.
We would also like to congratulate the societies which were recognized for their outstanding 2022 World Osteoporosis Day campaigns. Awards were presented to:
- Mongolian Naran Soc. For Osteoarthritis & Musculoskeletal Diseases
- National Osteoporosis Society of South Africa (NOFSA)
