Dr. Patricia Clark appointed as Secretary of the General Health Council in Mexico
The International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) warmly congratulates Dr. Patricia Clark, IOF Board member, on her recent appointment as Secretary of the General Health Council, a position granted by the President of the Mexican Republic. This achievement is a recognition of her outstanding career in public health and medical research, with over 130 scientific publications and numerous national and international accolades.
Dr. Clark, a rheumatologist and clinical epidemiologist, is a leading researcher in the field of osteoporosis and bone health, significantly contributing to the well-being of patients in Mexico and Latin America. She has been a pioneer in implementing a key tool for osteoporosis risk assessment in Mexico. In addition to heading the Clinical Epidemiology Research Unit at the Federico Gómez Children's Hospital of Mexico, she has worked closely with prestigious global organizations such as the International Osteoporosis Foundation and the World Health Organization. She currently serves as a member of the global board of the IOF and as an editor of the journal Osteoporosis International.
